Highlight Booster Herbal Hair Rinse

  • For brown/black hair, sage and rosemary.
  • For blonde hair, chamomile and nettle.
  • For red hair, calendula (pot marigold)
  • For gray hair, sage

All rinses begin with 3 cups distilled or spring water. Bring water to a boil, then remove from heat. Add 3 heaping tablespoons of the herbs listed for a particular hair color and stir. Cover and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Strain through a coffee filter twice. Label and store in the refrigerator.

To use, shampoo hair and rinse as usual. Squeeze out excess water. Generously pour on herbal rinse until hair is saturated. Squeeze out excess and then style as usual. NOTE: Consider using older and/or darker towels when drying hair as herbal rinse might stain.
