This is a traditional French
seasoning combination used in soups and stews. It will make enough for 10-12
bags.
1/4 cup
dried parsley
4 bay leaves, dried and
crumbled
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons dried marjoram
2 tablespoons dried lovage
leaves
Cheesecloth or muslin
Mix herbs together. Place
one tablespoon of mixed herbs in the center of a 4"x 4" square of
muslin or fine cheesecloth, doubled. Gather all four corners of the square and
tie with kitchen string, leaving a long tail to tie to the pot handle. Store
in an airtight container.
