Instant Berry Granita

Instant Berry Granita

  • 2 pints fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries or strawberries)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 TBSP liqueur (optional)

Freeze berries in a single layer on a baking sheet and keep frozen until ready to make granita. Put them in a food processor with remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
