Recycle Bin

Today, we are going to look at a really cool tool in Windows, the Recycle Bin! I know, I know, it’s just a trash can, but it is so cool! Do you know how much it can hold? The Recycle Bin or trash can hold up to 10% of your total hard drive space. So, the bigger your hard drive, the bigger the Recycle Bin.

When you delete a file from your hard drive, it is really not gone, it is just moved to the Recycle Bin. It’s not gone to computer heaven though, until you empty it. To do this we click on the Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin.

You should take out the trash about once a month or more often if you delete a lot of material!
