Saving Pictures

Have you ever been working with your children on a school project and needed an image from the Internet? Well, let me show you how to find an image and save it on your computer to use now or later.

First, find a web page that has the graphic or picture that you want. Now that we are there, let’s Right Click on the graphic. You will see a Quick Menu appear. In the Quick Menu, click on Save Picture As. Now you will be asked by the computer where you want to save it and what you want to name it. Click where you want the computer to save the file, for instance, My Documents, or your Desktop.

Wow – that was it! Not hard at all.

If you are using a tool like PowerPoint, all you have to do to place the image on a slide is to go to the Menu, click on Insert, and then Picture from File. Now the picture is ready for you and your child to use on projects or email to friends!
