MonitorsHello, My name is Billy Hix and I work for NASA as a faculty fellow. At this very moment, high above the earth, astronauts are aboard the Space Station are hard at work as they use the most recent technology. When choosing between a standard CRT or flat panel monitor, NASA's monitor of choice is the flat panel. How does this relate to us down here on earth? Well, if you shop for a computer you'll be faced with the same two choices. As you can tell, the flat panel monitor is much smaller than the CRT and that's why many people choose it. They weigh less, are much easier to move around and use less electricity. However, the good ole CRT has a wider viewing area especially if you want a larger monitor. The CRT is also significantly less in price and works just as well as its slim counterpart. Buying a new computer isn't rocket science; just simply choose the best technology for you and your family.
