Computer Accessories

There are fun and free activities that you and your child can explore on a computer. As you use your imagination, you'll see the many possibilities available. Computers come with several accessories or programs that can be used in creative ways.

Note pad is especially useful for teaching younger children how to type. There are few options to distract the child from the task at hand.

Word pad offers more options than note pad and is beneficial in teaching basic word processing to children. These options include copying and pasting, formatting, and saving documents.

The calculator can also be useful in helping a child check math problems.

Paint is also a basic program which satisfies a child's creative skills with pictures and art. The options may be learned one function at a time. The ever-changing picture can even be saved and used as the picture on the computer monitor or sent as an email to grandparents and friends.

The possibilities are limitless when using the computer's accessory programs with your family.
